Security Monitoring

Know first when a camera goes down

Watch all your Network Optix cameras on one screen; a camera that stops recording or loses connection sends you an SMS and email immediately.

On-premise server on the same network as the VMS servers 24/7 critical alert support on the enterprise tier, business-day otherwise

The NX VMS Camera Status Monitoring System continuously watches a Network Optix camera infrastructure. It shows on one dashboard which cameras are online, which are not recording and which disk is about to fill up. When something goes wrong it does not wait — it alerts you immediately.

Camera status — live

Camera status — live sample data · not real customer data
  • Online, recording 417
  • Online, not recording 12
  • Offline 5

The panel opens on the problem: working cameras sit at the bottom while the top of the screen is reserved for what needs intervention. Because a full disk is the most common cause of lost recordings, disk usage stays on the same screen.

What you get

See the blind spot before the incident

You do not find out a camera was off only after something happens.

You are warned before the disk fills — the most common cause of loss is gone.

You can report to your clients

How long each camera was up: the periodic uptime report is ready.

How it works

Three steps, no technical detail.

We connect your camera servers

Your Network Optix servers are registered and cameras grouped by location.

The system checks continuously

Connection, recording status and disk usage are read within minutes.

It reaches you when there is a problem

You get SMS and email for an offline camera or a filling disk.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with anything other than Network Optix?

This product is built for Network Optix (NX Witness). If you use a different VMS, write to us and we will assess compatibility together.

Does every brief dropout raise an alert?

No. You set the alert threshold per location; a branch with unstable internet can be given a more tolerant threshold.

Can I also watch the video?

No, this product does not show video; it watches whether cameras are working. You keep using your NX Witness client for footage.

What does it cost?

An annual licence based on the number of monitored cameras. Tell us how many cameras you have and we will send a quote.

  1. The panel opens on the problem

Working cameras sit at the bottom; the top of the screen is reserved for what needs intervention.

  2. Disk usage on the same screen as camera status

A full disk is the most common cause of lost recordings, so the two metrics were never separated.

  3. Alert thresholds are set per location

If every dropout at a branch with unstable connectivity raised an alert, alerts would stop being read. Thresholds and repeat intervals are defined per location.
