Know how many people walk into your store
A camera at the entrance counts people in and out, so you can see how many customers came at what time and how many of them bought.
The Store People Counting System is software that automatically counts visitors from a camera at the store entrance. It shows the numbers by hour, day and branch, and combines them with till data to work out how many visitors turned into sales. It stores no video — it only counts.
Visitor distribution through the day
The panel's primary output: how many people entered in each hour. Staffing is planned against this distribution, and footfall is always shown beside sales conversion.

How it works
Three steps, no technical detail.
We install the camera at the door
If your existing camera is suitable we use it. We calibrate the counting line together in your store.
People in and out are counted automatically
The system counts people; it does not recognise faces or record video.
You follow it on the dashboard
Hourly traffic, branch comparison and sales conversion on one screen.
What you get
Staff the right hours
Busy hours are known from numbers, not guesses.
Compare branches fairly
Is a weak branch getting fewer visitors, or converting fewer? You see the difference.
See whether a campaign worked
How many more people came through the door in campaign week, and how many bought.
Before and after
- Footfall is hand-counted or estimated
- Branches cannot be compared
- Campaign impact is measured by sales, not traffic
- Entries and exits are counted automatically by camera
- Branches are compared on one dashboard
- Conversion is read alongside footfall
Frequently asked questions
Does it record video or store customers' faces?
No. The system only produces a count of people entering and leaving. No video is stored and there is no face recognition, so the personal-data footprint is very low.
Can I use my existing camera?
Most IP cameras work. Before installation we check your camera's angle and resolution; if it is not suitable, a single new camera is enough.
How does it calculate sales conversion?
It takes the daily number of sales from your till system and divides it by visitors, so you see how many of every 100 visitors bought something.
What does it cost?
An annual licence based on branch and camera count. It starts from a single branch; tell us how many branches you have and we will send a quote.

-
Video is counted, not stored
The system produces counting data instead of storing images of people — a design decision that reduces personal-data exposure from the start.
-
Conversion shown next to footfall
Footfall alone does not drive decisions, so the dashboard always shows it beside sales conversion.
-
The counting line is calibrated, not assumed
Door width, camera height and pedestrian flow differ in every store, so the counting line is tuned on site during installation; deployments left on defaults multiply the error margin.
